With its lively cabarets and cultural life, Paris in the late 19th century witnessed an extraordinary flourishing of the arts. This series of three lectures will trace the work of some of the leading women artists of this period, notably Rosa Bonheur, Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Camille Claudel, Marie Bashkirtseff, Marie Bracquemond, Louise Breslau, Cecilia Beaux and Eva Gonzalès.
