Having studied piano for 16 years, Anna feels the sole importance of learning piano is to experience the celebration and ode to life that is music. Anna enjoys a variety of composers’ works and repertoire, but she particularly enjoys works by Brahms, Chopin and Debussy. A recent graduate of the University of British Columbia’s School of Music, Anna is currently enrolled in the UBC Bachelor of Education program to teach music in public schools. Having gained experience with children through teaching piano and theory lessons, in being a camp counsellor, and class assistant at the VSO School of Music’s ColourString program, Anna’s hope is to share the love and joy of music with children. Her teachers are Kathy Dubin, Sylvia Duncan, Dr. Barrie Barrington, Dr. Corey Hamm, and Dr. Henri-Paul Sicsic. Anna looks forward to sharing her passion for music and the piano with children through making music and learning together.
