Description: 

This 55-minute Deep Water Aquafit class runs in the dive tank.

Aquafit is a moderately paced and energizing class that utilizes water resistance for a variety of exercise combinations with warm up, cardio, strength, stretch and cool down components, designed for participants who want to increase their fitness and muscular endurance. Deep Water Aquafit participants will not be able to touch the pool floor. Participants must be comfortable in deep water. Flotation belts and exercise dumbbells will be provided but it is strongly suggested that participants bring their own.

Refunds

If you are unable to attend an Aquafit session for which you have registered, please cancel in advance to receive a refund. Cancellation requests should be submitted by accessing your account at vanrec.ca by 11:59pm the day before your session. Requests by phone or in-person must be done by 3pm the day before your session or by Friday 3pm for weekend sessions. Missed sessions will not be refunded.

• Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.

• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.

• All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
