Learn to carve a block, ink the block, and create a relief print on paper. Also learn how to do relief mono-printing through drawing with ink transfer.
Haisla Collins is a Contemporary northwest coast artist from the territories of the Tsimshian, Nisga'a and Gitxan. Her work is expressionistic, cosmic and bold. Haisla has a BFA from Emily Carr University, She is community leader for Indigenous Women Artist Collective (IWA) and is lead singer and harmonica player for "Haisla with Nasty, Brutish, and Short" She is most well known for leading "Spirits of the Realms" Which is a 130m long mural on 600 block Beatty street, and her participation in the 2016 Big Print Project.
