Description:
It can be easy to forget about the wealth of food that grows all around us. Come out and learn about edible plants that call our region home in this West End Neighbourhood Food Network workshop. Lori Snyder from the Metis Nation will discuss how to identify and harvest wild, edible, and medicinal plants in an ethical way. Please dress appropriately for the weather. We'll have a community seed library present - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds. (Please come a little early.) For further information: West End Neighbourhood Food Network -- Ross Moster ross.wenfn@gmail.com, or visit foodwestend.wordpress.com. Advance registration encouraged. FREE for Seniors (50 and over).
