Description: This hands-on Westside Neighbourhood Food Network workshop with Caitlin Dorward will introduce you to food safe methods for canning at home. We'll discuss techniques for canned foods such as jams, jellies, and pickles, and participants will take home a jar of the jam we make during the workshop. Workshop products change with the season, with this workshop focusing on pear jam. (Past workshops have included strawberry jam, cherry jam and pickles.) We'll have a community seed library present - pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds.
