Want to start your own plants from seed? Over the course of 3 sessions you will meet other gardeners in your area and together learn how to set up an indoor seed starting system & grow your own transplants. We'll guide you every step of the way from which grow lights & growing medium to use, where to set up your indoor seed starting system, what to grow & seedling care. Session 1 we will visit the Farmers on 57th seed starting room at George Pearson Centre, a 7 minute walk from MOCC. With our guidance, between sessions 1 & 2, you will source your own grow lights, timer & shelving ($5 & up). Session 2 we'll provide potting soil, growing trays & a selection of vegetable seeds to get started! Session 3 we will troubleshoot any issues with your indoor growing system, your seedlings, what to expect, how to transplant and seed saving now that you can raise your own transplants.
