This program is presented by Village Vancouver at the Strathcona Community Centre. It is part of a Cultivating Food Cultivating Community workshop series and explores a variety of topics related to food! We'll also have the community seed library present at each session - pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds.
Friday May 11: Early Summer Gardening
Enjoy the taste of freshly grown veggies from your garden this season! Mid to late spring and early summer are busy times in the garden. In this Village Vancouver workshop with Rhiannon Johnson, you'll learn what to plant now and how to plant properly on your balcony, or in your yard or community garden plot. You'll come away with the knowledge to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables such as peas, beans, greens, beets, the onion family, root veggies, herbs, tomatoes, and carrots starting now! Register by May 9.
