Description: In this Village Vancouver Westside Neighbourhood Food Network workshop, Rashmi GC will share recipes and show you how to make colourful and fragrant sugar scrubs and bath salts to pamper yourself. Each participant will make and take a jar of sugar scrub and a jar of bath salts home with them. We'll have a community seed library present - pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds. Fee includes cost of all materials. Free for Seniors (50 and over; $8 materials fee only.).


At Aberthau and McBride Park Fieldhouse, enjoy VV cooking, fermenting, preserving and DIY demonstrations, timely gardening workshops including Grow Your Own Microgreens and other plant, health, holiday, and/or creative eco-art and craft DIY offerings like Mini Macrame Wall Hangings, Cordage, Cattail Containers, Making Beeswax Salves, DIY Sugar Scrubs and Bath Salts, DIY Beeswax Wraps, DIY Crochet Dishcloths, Edible Holiday Gifts in Mason Jars, and our Invasive Species series - Making Invasive Species Drawing Ink, Making Invasive Species Charcoal Pencils, and Paper Making with Invasives. We also offer other activities (most of which are free) such as vertical gardening at McBride Park. and you can pick up free seeds for gardening. (Separate registration required for each activity. and all workshops are free or low cost for Seniors 50 and over.
