Description: Bridge anyone? This game is for all ages. Keep your mind sharp; meet new people; have fun. This lesson series is for absolute beginners and does not assume prior bridge knowledge. We start playing bridge hands the first lesson. The goal is, after 8 weeks, you will have the knowledge to bid and play social bridge. The lessons are a mix of concepts and card play. Optional homework is provided. The course book used is ACBL Bridge Series Bidding in the 21st Century. (Available on Amazon.ca and often at Chapters.)
Students are required to purchase "Bidding in the 21st Century (ACBL series), available through Amazon, Chapters/Indigo, etc. This book is a good reference text with chapter summaries, exercise and practice hands.
Glenda is a ACBL certified bridge teacher and has been a teacher all her life. She plays both competitive and fun bridge and is in her seventh year teaching bridge. She loves the game and teaching. She says bridge is social, good for your memory and can be simple or complex. Bridge can be played at the kitchen table, at parties, in informal competitive games, in formal settings, in small and large tournaments and North American, or even international championships. Every hand is a new adventure.
