Supplies Required:
- 1 pencil and eraser
- 1 Palette or palette paper (palettes can be reused, palette paper is disposable)
- 1 Water bowl or cup (yogurt containers work great)
- 1 Spray Bottle
- something to paint on:
Canvas boards OR wood panels OR canvases size 9 x 12 to 18 x 24 (your choice)
-Brushes: Round 1 or 2, 4 or 6, Flat 2 or 4, 6 or 8, 12 or 16, Filberts 2, 4 or 6, 8 or 10 (sizes will vary between brands so keep within ranges stated above) Overall 5 - 8 brushes needed, flats and filberts can be interchanged.
-Acrylic Paints:
Opus Essential Acrylic 60m tube or Liquitex 59m tubes
Cadmium yellow or Hansa yellow, cadmium red medium,
ultramarine blue, mars or ivory black, titanium white, raw umber.
Other helpful colours: Dioxazine purple, hookers green or sap green, quinacridone red or violet, cerulean blue, raw Sienna.
Multiple canvases can be bought at a later date, please come to the first class with one to start.
Also bring in any paints you already own so we can assist what you need for this class.
Refund Policy: A $5 processing fee will be charged for all program refunds and transfers. 48 hours notice is required and there will be no refunds granted after the scheduled second class.
NOTE: The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19, may exacerbate other health issues and is the cause of an ongoing global pandemic. SARS-COV-2 is highly communicable and dangerous. If you become infected with SARS-COV2, you may transmit it to other people even if you are not exhibiting symptoms of illness.
Communicable Disease Health & Safety Practices:
• Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.
• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
• All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
