Description: Aberthau Community Permaculture and Eco Art Garden NW Marine Drive between Discovery and Trimble Street Located behind the Mansion and hosted by Village Vancouver(VV), the garden includes VV's Collaborative Demonstration Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and art/garden projects by our artist residencies. Emphasizing permaculture design elements, it offers fun, inclusive social, educational, culinary and cultural activities for community members. Enjoy cooking, fermenting, preserving and DIY demonstrations, including canning, kimchi, mason jar salads and meal planning, zero waste and beeswax wraps, timely gardening workshops such as improving your soil, growing microgreens, vertical gardening, and garden planning, the seed savers and urban garden clubs, and community potlucks, as well as weekly garden parties (through late October) and a Harvest Celebration.
