Description: 

Prerequisite Required: Ukulele Level 1 or equivalent experience is required before registering for Ukulele Level 2. Please note: if you attended Level 1 Classes in Winter 2020, even though the semester was cut short, you can register for Level 2.

Ukulele Level 2 continues with the strumming, chording and accompanying started in Level 1 but introduces more songs and more complex chording and fingerpicking.

Students must supply their own ukulele and chromatic tuner (can be purchased at most music stores in the city). Instruments should be purchased before the first class; we recommend a model that runs from $65-$85.

Students will continue using the method book from Level 1: Essential Elements for Ukulele Method Book 1.

In ukulele this fall the Conservatory is offering the following for ages 16+:
This is a REMOTE DELIVERY program. There are NO meetings in person (or face-to-face) during this course.

All video conferencing will be done through Zoom. You do not need an account but may be required to download the software to run this program on your computer and you will have to visit the app store to download the app on your smartphone or tablet. Participants will be required to use a device with both a microphone and web cam to engage with this program; these come standard on most tablets, smartphones, and laptops, but may not be available on your desktop computer. Please check your device before registering and contact our Student Services Office Non-Credit if you have questions about Zoom or your device.
