The Conservatory's
Contemporary Dance program
is designed to be suitable for all experience levels from beginners with no prior dance experience to seasoned dancers looking for a casual environment to stretch their muscles and maintain their bodies. We will be offering two types of contemporary dance courses under the leadership of dancer and choreographer
Karen Rose:
Technique and
Choreography. In Fall 2017, Rose led the Conservatory of Performing Arts'
Music & Dance Project.
In
Composition, Rose will work with the dancers to create choreography, resulting in a dance piece that will be performed at the end of the term. This is a class designed for creation, for gaining improvisational techniques, for learning repertory, and to discover the rehearsal process. There are no drop-in options available for this class and regular attendance is a requirement.
In
Technique classes we have drop-in options for $15/class (20% discount if you register for 3 or more drop-in classes a term - please note: mobile registration is not recommended for
Technique, please call our Student Services Office to register over the phone if you do not have access to a desktop computer: 306-585-5748).
