Introduction to Mosaic Art

Discover the ancient art of mosaics while embracing Picassiette, a mosaic style that incorporates pieces of broken ceramics (plates, dishes, cups, tiles) and found objects. Learn fundamental practices and work with tools, materials and surfaces commonly used when creating mosaics. Students are encouraged to bring old or broken ceramic dishes to the first class, along with a sketch pad, pencil and eraser. This workshop requires an additional $20 material fee, payable to the instructor.
