Throughout his career, Beethoven was constantly pushing the instrument's capacities and limits, and every facet of his imagination and creativity is illustrated in the 32 Piano Sonatas. Covering a broad range of styles, effects, forms, emotion and expression, many believe that the key to fully understanding Beethoven's genius and impact is revealed by the Piano Sonatas.
