The Conservatory Program is designed to study the art of improvisation as it applies to the development of a Second City-style revue. It is first, a course in acting through improvisation and eventually, in the creation of scripted material developed through improvisation. There is no guarantee that acceptance into the program will lead to a position in one of our performing companies. If you are interested in auditioning, please read requirements below. The Conservatory Program is comprised of six levels. Classes are once a week, 3 hours per class, for 7 weeks. Please note: There is a 2.5 hour Drop In workshop a few days before Conservatory Auditions. All auditioners are welcome to come. This is an optional workshop. Fee $10 (cash). No pre-registration required. Specific dates, times and studio assignments vary from term to term.
Performances for all levels, scheduled by the Training Centre, are both inside & outside of the seven weeks of classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Participating in the performances is considered a required part of a student's ensemble commitment to the Conservatory Program.
If you are accepted but cannot attend, you must re-audition the next term.
