Description:
Join us, from the comfort of your home, for this virtual program. Campers will have to navigate a few engineering and teamwork challenges. To do so, campers will draft blueprints and plans for their parks on paper before beginning to create it in Minecraft to make it as much like the process of designing a real amusement park as possible. In this camp we will be using Minecraft JAVA which is only compatible with PC ( Windows) & MacBook (MacOS). So families need to have either of these devices available for their children. Campers will require to have a Minecraft account for the computer. There are a few options available for each camper. Campers may use their own Minecraft account for PC. If students do not have a Minecraft PC account, they can choose one of the below options:Purchase their own permanent account here: www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition or Engineering For Kids will share a temporary username & password which can be used only during the class. This option should be communicated by email to yorkregion@engineeringforkids.com at least 4 days before the start date.Further details on how to join the online classroom will be communicated with enrolled families.Prior to the start of the program you will be emailed information on the virtual program links and any specific information relating to your program.
