Description:
This level will be taught in combination with level 9, although those working on Level 10 will be challenged to further refine all strokes, through an introduction to butterfly and scissor kick as a warm-up/cool down stroke for fitness. Children learn about sun safety, rescue of others from the ice and head-first and feet-first shallow dives. Endurance is built using dolphin kick and butterfly drills and a 500-metre swim. As this level concludes the Swim Kids program, participants will receive a certificate and medal of achievement once completed.
Do not attend if feeling unwell or have been exposed to others who are sick. Arrive swim ready no more than 5 minutes early. Only 1 person per family may spectate & assist with arrival and pick up. No class Feb 13th.
