Description:
Aqua yoga adapts traditional hathe poses to the water environment. With the assistance of water the muscles can work harder while allowing the joints to be supported and may allow students a greater range of motion increasing their flexibility. The gentle nature of Aqua yoga make it ideal for all ages & fitness levels. In addition the support of the water makes it ideal for those who cannot enjoy the benefits of regular yoga due to past injuries.
*Do not attend if you are sick or have been exposed to others who are sick. *Arrive swim ready, no more than 5 minutes early. *Limit personal items brought to facility. *Enter pool through lobby view doors, check in with staff and remove shoes. *Mandatory cleansing shower required before swimming.
Biography:
I have an extensive background in Yoga, with Teacher Trainings in multiple disciplines. My passion lies in helping students develop their own self-awareness, and a deep sense of self-compassion, opening up for new possibilities, choices and change. It is my hope to engage students to reach for their full potential with my clear, powerful and playful approach. I have been a full time yoga teacher for more than 10 years and I am currently finishing a two year training as a Yoga Therapy Practitioner.
