VISUAL ARTS BIO
Bernadette Rollin has always had a life passion from early childhood on to see and create art through a variety of techniques and mediums.
Bernadette’s enthusiasm is shared in teaching painting to children and adults as well as being a yoga instructor for many years. Bernadette’s art is impassioned through her love of nature and has evolved to include various mediums such as pastels, inks, acrylics, watercolour, all of which have challenged Bernadette to further explore the inner depths of her art and creativity.
Bernadette’s current works range from nature studies through to semi-abstracts, on canvas, mixed media with varied surfaces, as well as watercolour using bolder and brighter colours.
Bernadette was a Founding Member of the Art Focus Art Group as well as being an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Over the years, Bernadette has also participated in many selected solo and group exhibitions with Bernadette’s artwork being acquired by a number of Corporate Agencies as well as Art Collectors from around the world.
YOGA BIO
Bernadette has been practicing yoga since 1984. She received her Yoga Teacher Certificate in September 2000 upon successfully completing a five-year program of yoga study with Om Sairam. In addition, Bernadette has studied and been awarded her 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Certificate from Sandra Sammartino in conjunction with receiving her Canadian Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher Certification (CYA-E-RYT500). Bernadette also has completed her Teaching Chair Yoga Workshop program studying under Sylvia Smallman. Bernadette has continued to develop her yoga education through worships with Erich Schiffman (Hatha Yoga), Sherryn Rault (Critical Alignments Yoga Therapy) as well as reading and weekend retreats and practices. Bernadette has been teaching yoga to both adults and children since 1999 blending dedication, passion and joy into her teaching.
She is a member of the British Columbia Yoga Alliance and over the years has continued to develop her yoga education through workshops, reading and practice. Bernadette is also a successful visual artist in her own right and teaches art to children and adults.
