Description:
Use your imagination and have fun creating unique clay projects. Individual exploration is encouraged as you discover cool clay techniques. Supplies included. All projects will be fired and glazed. Detailed instructions for project drop-off will be emailed to families and fired projects will be ready for pick-up from Place des Arts approximately four weeks after the class end date.
What’s included in your kit:
-M-340 clay
-Variety of underglazes
-2 paintbrushes
-Bamboo skewers
What you need at home:
-A large, flat surface to work on, at least 2’ x 2’
-A plastic tablecloth or heavy poster board/cardboard to cover and protect the surface you are working on; the cover should be taped/secured to your working surface
-Light plastic (eg. a grocery bag) for covering your projects between classes
-A stable container for water (eg. an empty yogurt container between 500-750mL)
-A larger container with warm water for rinsing hands (can be disposed of outdoors to prevent any clay from going down your sink)
-Paper towel or rag for drying your paintbrush
-Paper towel or rag to clean your hands
-Dress for mess, wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy or an artist’s apron
-A plastic container with a lid clearly labelled with student’s first and last name (for storing works in progress and for dropping off and picking up projects from Place des Arts)
Notes: This class will be conducted via the Zoom platform. You must ensure your electronic device is compatible with Zoom and you have Zoom downloaded prior to the first class. |
Supply kits can be picked up from Place des Arts beginning on Monday, January 4 during the following hours: Monday - Friday: 9:30am-8:30pm Saturday: 9:30am-4:30pm Sunday: 1:30-4:30pm Please come to the front door off Brunette Avenue, near the Spirit Bear statue. Please bring a copy of your receipt (printed or on your mobile device). |
