Description:
Jumpstart Literacy is a literacy program offered to individuals aged 16 and up with an intellectual disability who are interested in building their literacy skills. The program focuses on English literacy and selected sessions are devoted to building mathematics literacy skills as well.
This Literacy program is an excellent opportunity to build life skills, become engaged and gain a greater sense of independence through literacy. It is also an opportunity to make lasting friendships and meet new people in your community. Our enthusiastic and compassionate instructors and volunteers create an environment of inclusion where everyone feels welcome and respected.
Start date: Monday July 4, 2022
End date: Friday July 29, 2022
Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am - Monday through Friday
Location: Virtual - Zoom
Eligibility: Must be a Member of Community Living Toronto. Click here to become a member.
Registration Fee: $120.00
Fees include $20 administration fee, $5.00 per class fee for total annual fee of $120.00
Participants new to the Jumpstart Literacy program must complete an intake and ASSESSMENT Package.
