Exploring The Pathways Beyond The Teen Years- Foundational Family Service

Which way do I go? Where do I start my journey? How can I help my teen get ready for adulthood?

This Foundational Family Service is geared towards parents and caregivers of teenagers aged 13-17, registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), interested in becoming familiar with transition planning to adulthood. Discussion topics include: building independent-living skills, planning for future pathways, and navigating adult services in Ontario. Participants will be introduced to identifying individual goals to assist in developing transitions plans. Participants will leave with practical tools and resources. This webinar is led by an Autism Consultant or a Behaviour Therapist.

Exploring The Pathways Beyond The Teen Years will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the following is required to participate:

• Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer
• An internet connection
• Speakers and a microphone
• A webcam

Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration and completion of a Kerry's Place Autism Services' intake meeting and additional documentation may be required to attend.

Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development. Cancellation Process:

Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session.

Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For the purposes of effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates 5 business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
