Living Life to the Full
Living Life to the Full (LLTF) is a national flagship program of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). This program is open to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ages 18 and over. The program is a fun, group-based, mental health promotion course which encourages people to learn to thrive in life.
The course is for anyone dealing with stress, worry, low mood or just need help dealing with life’s challenges. Living Life to the Full teaches practical self-management skills, using the principles of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). During the course, attendees cover topics such as: self-confidence, problem-solving, motivation, dealing with unhelpful thoughts, and managing anger.
In eight weekly, 90-minute sessions, this program teaches people how to make helpful changes in their lives. Participants are taught how to deal with their feelings when fed-up, worried or hopeless, and learn skills to help them tackle life’s problems.
Dates: Thursdays from February 25th, 2021 to April 15th, 2021 (8 sessions)
Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm (Thursdays)
Ratio: 10 participants and 1 staff
Cost: There is no cost to participate
*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all Living Life to the Full program sessions will be conducted virtually via zoom, a secure and encrypted videoconferencing platform. The following access will be required to participate:
• Tablet or Computer
• An internet connection
• Speakers and a microphone
• A webcam
Cancellation Policy
A program may be cancelled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in another program session.
Notes:Please note that an ASD diagnosis is required to participate in this group. Registering on My Community Hub does not guarantee a spot in the program. Registrants will be contacted over the phone by a team member to confirm attendance.
