Davidson Centre Pool: Preschool B Swim Lessons Program Procedures
Before you start:
- If you feel sick, have a cold and/or have symptoms, stay home
- Self-isolate for 14 days if you have been in close contact with sick or those returning from travel within self-isolation time, do not participate
- Set up your Municipality of Kincardine Recreation account. Visit “How to Register for a program”

Step 1: All participants must be booked in advanced through our registration system at www.kincardine.ca. This process is necessary for contact tracing purposes. Parents and caregivers must complete the Davidson Centre Recreation screening prior to entering the facility. Screenshot the green check mark and present to customer service. Participants registered in the program are not required to complete the online screening form.

Step 4: What to expect upon arrival at the Davidson Centre Pool
- Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your reservation
- Masks are mandatory upon entrance and exit of the Davidson centre building (masks can be removed once in the pool changeroom for swimmers only). Participants under the age of 2 are not expected to wear a mask.
- Enter through the main entrance of the building and check in with the customer service representative.
- Proceed to health screening
- Once customers have successfully checked in, outdoor footwear and attire must be removed.
- The sauna remains closed.
Step 5: Rules
- Only customers who have reserved a block and have checked in at Customer Service are permitted to attend.
- Spots are available on a first come, first serve. Waitlists are monitored.
- Arrive in your swim wear, use of changerooms is limited.
Entering the pool Area
- Swimmers in Preschool B must enter through their designated changeroom (men’s or women’s).
- All swimmers must shower with soap and water before entering the pool deck. Customers will not be permitted into the pool otherwise. Only three swimmers in the shower area at one time, please use the floor decals to maintain social distancing.
- Instructors will meet their classes at the deck entry.
- Each lane will have a chair for you to place your belongings (masks, towels)
- When the program is over, swimmers and spectators must walk clockwise toward the changeroom they entered.
Exiting the pool area
- The use of the showers and washroom upon exiting the pool deck will not be available. Swimmers are encouraged to change and exit quickly after their swim block.
- When exiting the pool lobby, only four customers may use the area at one time, please use floor decals to maintain social distancing.
