Description: Ever wanted to start your career as a lifeguard, but lack the time to take any of the required classes. Our staff want you to join our team and we are motivated to help you achieve those career goals. Lifeguard PE takes all four courses needing for full certification and combines them into a school semester. By the end of the semester you will have high school credits for Red Cross Standard First Aid, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and the National Lifeguard course. Plus with the physical aspects of this program you will received your grade 12 physical education credits. Acquire the certifications and skills needed to become a Lifeguard, such as stroke techniques, fitness, stamina, endurance, team work, and leadership all in one semester of school.
Program Refunds & CreditsFull refunds or account credits will be granted in the following instances: a) The Department cancels the program;b) The request for the refund is received a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the start of the program; c) For requests received less than seven (7) days prior to the start of the program will be granted provided the Department is able to fill the spot; d) In the event that a patron or their dependent falls ill, or becomes injured, inhibiting their ability to participate in or continue participation in a program or utilize a facility pass or punch card, a pro-rated refund may be given based upon the date of the refund request. Documentation (i.e., doctor?s note) is requested for illnesses or injury claims;e) Approved refunds may be applied to the patron?s account as a credit at their discretion;f) The Recreation Manager / Pool Manager will administer the refund program. TransfersA transfer is permitted only when we are notified 7 days prior to the course start date or at the recommendation of the instructor. Reprinting of ReceiptsEmail copies are free of charge. Should you require additional printed copies of your receipts, there will be a charge of $1.00 per receipt.
