Description:
Successful candidates on the Lifesaving Instructor course receive two certification cards: Lifesaving Instructor and Emergency First Aid Instructor which are required to teach Bronze and Patrol programs. The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques.
Prerequisite: Minimum 16 yrs of age; Bronze Cross or NLS certification (need not be current).
Withdrawals 5 business days or less prior to the start of the course will receive no refund due to the third party costs.
It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure they have the correct prerequisites for the course and they must be shown to the Instructor on the first class. No refunds will be given if prerequisites are not met.
Mandatory 100% attendance
Dual Instructor Pac, Canadian Lifesaving Manual, 2015 and pocket mask or face shield are required.
Friday, 5-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-6pm both weekends
