This innovative class uses ensemble-based improv to help people with social anxiety disorder overcome fear and avoidance associated with work, school, and family life. A Second City Training Centre instructor will lead the improv class through a series improv exercises that are specifically chosen to address key triggers for social anxiety. In a safe and nurturing environment, participants will be introduced to a number of tools they can use manage their anxiety.
Cameron Algie will be the instructor. Cameron is an 8 year veteran of improv and has had tremendous success with his troupe "Standards and Practices" performing to packed houses at Festivals throughout North America. Cameron first came to The Second City Training Centre to deal with his deep-seated fear of crowds, strangers and going out in public. Cameron has gone from barely being able to walk to the subway without having a panic attack to becoming one of the most respected improvisers in the country.
